DC vs PBKS: Delhi Capitals’ play-offs hopes hang by a thread, while Punjab Kings need a big win to improve their net run rate and stay in the fray for the top four spots, when they will lock horns at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
With three games remaining in the league for the Capitals, they have two left to play against Punjab Kings. The team from Delhi need to win all three in order to have any chance of making it to the play-offs which looks unlikely. A loss here will officially put an end to DC’s IPL campaign.
Meanwhile, for Punjab, who are off after a big loss against Kolkata Knight Riders, the team from Punjab needs to give its all in the remaining three games and make it count to get to 16 points at the end of the league stage.

Delhi were all at sea against Chennai at Chepauk as they lost the match by 27 runs; At home against RCB, it was a thumping performance from Delhi Capitals as they chased down 182 runs with seven wickets in hand and 20 balls to spare; In a low-scoring thriller in Ahmedabad, Delhi eke out a narrow five run win. In the back-to-back games against SRH, the Delhi team first won the away game by seven runs but lost the home leg by seven runs.

Kings lost their last games against KKR by five wickets; they were also hammered by Mumbai Indians at home by six wickets; In Chennai, they chased down 200 runs to win the match by four wickets; On a flat track of Mohali, they lost to Lucknow Super Giants by 56 runs. Arshdeep Singh’s brilliance helped them to win the match by 13 runs against Mumbai Indians.
