While 23-year-old pacer Ashwani Kumar was waltzing with his smooth run-up to dismiss Kolkata Knight Riders captain Ajinkya Rahane, besides Rinku Singh, Manish Pandey and Andre Russell during Mumbai India’s demolition of thrice IPL champions at Wankhede, father Harkesh Kumar was looking at a cycle leaning in a corner.

It was the ride on which his son would sometimes cover the 11 km distance to IS Bindra PCA Stadium to play matches from their village Jhanjheri.

Harkesh, who owns one and a half acre land in the village, could not control his tears along with his wife Meena Rani and elder son Shiv Rana.
