14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashes fastest fifty of IPL 2025, becomes youngest half-centurion in T20 history

IPL 2025: Vaibhav Suryavanshi's half-century, the first of his T20 career, is also one of the quickest fifties ever in IPL history by an uncapped batter.

Fastest IPL fifties: Fourteen-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi went on a rampage on Monday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur as he smashed the fastest fifty of the IPL 2025 season in only 17 balls against Gujarat Titans in a 210-run chase.

Suryavanshi’s half-century, the first of his T20 career, is also the third-quickest fifties ever in IPL history by an uncapped batter. The dashing southpaw also became the youngest batter to hit a fifty in men’s T20 cricket history, also become the youngest half-centurion in the IPL in the process. Aged 14 years and 32 days, Suryavanshi is the first 14-year-old to crack a half-century in men’s T20s.
