CSKA Moscow striker Tomas Necid has recovered from a long term knee injury in time to join the Czech Republic preliminary squad for the European Championship this summer.

The 22-year-old forward’s recovery is good news for coach Michal Bilek who was short of options in attack.

Bilek’s top striker,Milan Baros of Galatasaray, has scored 40 international goals but just one in Euro 2012 qualifying.

Captain Tomas Rosicky is back after missing the 2008 tournament due to injury.

Bilek named four goalkeepers because No. 1 Petr Cech will be playing the Champions League final with Chelsea against Bayern Munich on Saturday, although Tomas Grigar was not expected to travel with the team to the tournament in Poland and Ukraine.

In a relative surprise,Bilek omitted veteran attacking midfielder Jiri Stajner, who led Liberec to the Czech league title on Saturday. He opted for Daniel Kolar of Viktoria Plzen instead.

“I fully trust Dan Kolar,” Bilek said.

Bilek said he had no plans to change his squad before the May 29 deadline.

“It’s very likely that the final squad will be the same,” he said.

The Czechs play to warm-up matches against Israel on May 26 and Hungary on June 1 before facing Greece,Poland and Russia in Group A.
