Kohli had his football hat on in the video. He was wearing the jersey of Indian Super League side FC Goa, which he co-owns and is a brand ambassador of. Kohli himself has had some success in the age group level as he has led the Indian U-19 cricket team to the 2008 World Cup title. He is known to be ardent follower of football and has stated numerous times that Real Madrid and Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo is an inspiration to him.
The upcoming U-17 World Cup is the first ever FIFA tournament to be held in India. It is also the first time that India will be represented in a FIFA tournament of any age group. India’s group matches will be held in New Delhi’s JLN stadium. The tournament starts on October 6 and ends on October 28 with the final being hosted at Kolkata’s Salt Lake stadium. The other venues for the tournament are Navi Mumbai, Margao in Goa, Guwahati and Kochi.
