Yusuf Pathan pulled off a stunning catch in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match between Baroda and Goa on Friday. The 36-year-old, who last played for India in 2012, flew in from extra cover to take a one-handed flying catch to dismiss Goa captain Darshan Misal in the match.
A video of the catch was shared by Irfan Pathan with the caption: “Is it a bird ? No this is @yusuf_pathan. Great catch today lala. All ur hard work in pre season is paying off.”
Soon after Irfan’s tweet, Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan, came up with a hilarious response: “Absolutely stunner @iamyusufpathan Bhai. Ye Pathan k hath hai thakur,” Rashid Khan replied.

Baroda, however, lost the Group A match to Goa. They finished their innings at 149 for nine in 20 overs. Goa also lost wickets early on but Suyash Prabhudessai’s unbeaten knock of 60 helped Goa secure four points.
In the other matches from Group A, Andhra brushed aside Bihar with a convincing 10-wicket win and Karnataka secured four points as they beat Uttarakhand by nine wickets.
