Earlier in the Ireland innings, Tector was the top scorer with 45(41) Sri Lankan spinners Theekshana and Hasaranga picked two wickets apiece breaking the spine of their batting. This performance will shoot up Sri Lanka’s NRR and gives them an advantage over other teams in the group. Sri Lanka will next face Australia at Perth. It will be a mouth-watering contest.

Sri Lanka has two points for sure in this game Mendis played a brilliant inning supported by Asalanka and De Silva early on. The rest of the teams in the group have to watch out for Sri Lanka looks like the old fiery lions are back slowly but steadily.
Kushal Mendis has been in red hot form this tournament. He scored 50 of 37 balls solid innings by the opener Sri Lanka need 14 to win.
Asalanka after bursting onto the scene in the 2021 World Cup has been struggling in his second year in International cricket averaging 17 at a strike rate of 105. Dockrell lets him off the hook dropping a sitter. Three men converged for the ball near the boundary but Dockrell called for it and couldn't take it.
