Wearing a home and an away kit is common in football with teams wearing their preferred colours based on where they’re playing. Some even have three separate jerseys for home, away and another competition. But this style will also be seen in action during the upcoming Indian Premier League.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will be seen wearing two separate kits when they play at home at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium and outside their ‘home’.

This isn’t the first time an IPL franchise is experimenting with a home and away jersey format with Rajasthan Royals doing the same in 2010 for IPL 3 but the trend never caught on.

The new jerseys look like an inverted style with the home T-shirt sporting a black at the top part along with black sleeves and a dominant red colour underneath separated by a thin strip. The away kit, in comparison, has a red top portion with same colour sleeves and the bottom part coming in black, again separated by a thin strip.

Later Chris Gayle posed for a picture with Sarfaraz Khan where the West Indies batsman wore the away kit and Sarfaraz the home kit.
