Rashid Khan, unbeaten on 79 off 32 balls, is not able to complete Mission Impossible. 55 in the last two overs was always going to be a bit too much. Nevertheless, it was a fighting innings from the Afghan star. The game should have been done and dusted long back, but Rashid Khan inning gave some scary moments to MI. Even in the last over he hit three sixes and takes the scoreboard to a respectable 191/8 in 20 overs. Remember, at one stage GT were 55/5 and staring down the barrell.

Vijay Shankar had looked good until then, but Piyush Chawla would strike immediately after the timeout. It was a googly that Shankar tried to defend, but the massive turn beat the inside edge and snuck past to crash into the stumps. Shankar stood there frozen and in shock for quite some time before he had to undertake the long walk back. 'A red soil pitch today. 61m and 67m square boundaries while the straight is at 72m. The pitch looks similar to that of the other night against RCB. Little bit of moisture on top of the surface which means there could be a bit of swing, especially in the first 3-4 overs and a hint of turn if the captain is brave enough to go for spin in the powerplay.
