India didn’t get the coin toss in their favour and were soon reeling at a score of 14/2 as KL Rahul and Ajinkya Rahane were removed by the Lankan pacers. But Virat Kohli and newly-promoted Cheteshwar Pujara stitched a 36-run partnership before the rains interrupted play. Finally, the officials made sure the opening day of the first Test sees a premature end.
