Cricket Scorecard: Australia vs West Indies

Australia vs West Indies, AS IT HAPPENED:

# West Indies beat Australia by four wickets! Carlos Brathwaite gets the winning double.

# Short by Hazlewood and Pollard slashes it to reduce the runs required to single digit with a boundary.

# WICKET! What’s happening here! Jason Holder has a heave and gets an inside edge to be taken by Wade. Umpire says out. The batsman, though, calls for a review. Decision stands and that looks mighty close! Holder looks absolutely dejected. Late twist maybe? 12 needed from 38 balls with four wickets remaining.

# BOWLED! Off cutter by Coulter-Nile and Denesh Ramdin is clean bowled. He goes back for 29 and West Indies are 12 runs behind

# SCENES! Samuels and Ramdin try to steal a single but the former is caught short at the bowler’s end as Wade hits the stumps directly. Utterly needless as Samuels exits for 92 from 87 balls.

# … AND SIX! Make that three in a row. This one is a little square but it is again a maximum!

# SIX AND SIX!! Adam Zampa returns to bowl and he’s smashed for two straight sixes by Samuels. First one is almost taken at long off but the second one beats the fielder.

# 10 overs remaining at Basseterre and West Indies need 44 runs for win.

# West Indies are over the 200-run mark with Samuels powering through. Ramdin giving support at the other end. The hosts still need 58 runs from 76 balls.

# WICKET! That has spun viciously by Adam Zampa and Darren Bravo gets a glove and a pad to be taken by Wade. He departs after a valiant effort: 39 from 63 balls. West Indies are 167/3 and 99 runs shy of the target.

# 150 up for West Indies as Samuels steps down the track to Travis Head and punches it for a four. 112 needed from 21 overs.

# 100 up for the West Indies in the 17th over. If they keep the momentum and wickets intact, the home side could be off to victory soon enough. Required rate at the moment is just shy of 5 an over.

# WICKET! Adam Zampa keeps it flat and Charles is caught lbw. Absolutely plumb with no foot movement and poor shot. West Indies are 86/2

# Fletcher departs with an odd shot. Decided late to pull the bat on a slower delivery and it has popped up. Goes straight to Bailey and Faulkner celebrates. West Indies are 74/1

# West Indies in a commanding position after five overs. They’re 45/0 with Charles on 28 and Fletcher on 16.

Australia lose two more wickets in the last two overs to finish on 265/7

# WICKET! Head is gone. He edges to keeper

# WICKET! Marsh is gone. He tries to swing for a big one but caught at mid-off

# Khawaja misses maiden ODI ton by 2 runs. He is run-out on 98. Aus 198/3

# Khawaja survives a review by Benn. He is on 96.

# WICKET! Smith gone. Slower one from Brathwaite that takes Smith’s top edge and sends it in the air. Falls for 74

# 15 runs off the 26th. Australia are looking to up the run-rate now

# 100 up for Australia in the 22nd over

# 22 runs off the 14 and 15th over and Australia are charging now

# 10 overs gone. Australia 40/1. Khawaja and Smith at the crease

# It took Australia 34 balls to get the first boundary of the innings. Slow start this

# Gone! First over and Finch has nicked one behind. Australia 1/1

# XIs

# Travis Head to make debut for Australia

# West Indies win the toss and elect to bowl against Australia in the tri-series
