WATCH: Kieron Pollard goes on a rampage, clobbers 7 sixes in 8 deliveries in Caribbean Premier League
Pollard, who became only the second batter after compatriot Chris Gayle to score 14,000 T20 runs last week, registered his half-century in just 21 balls.
Trinibago Knight Riders' Kieron Pollard added 90 runs with skipper Nicholas Pooran and hit 7 sixes in 8 balls. (Screengrab/FanCode and TKR/X) Former West Indies cricketer, now a T20 specialist, Kieron Pollard rolled back the years and muscled his way to a blazing half-century, which included seven sixes in eight deliveries. Playing for the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025 match against the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Trinidad, Pollard played a hard-hitting knock, scoring a 29-ball 65, which included eight sixes and two fours.
Pollard’s acceleration was such that TKR, who were struggling in the middle overs and had scored just 99 in 14 overs, reached 143 by the end of the 16th over.
The slam-bang hitting from Pollard started in the 15th over against Navian Bidaisee when Pollard — playing on 12 off 13 at this point — dispatched the third and fourth deliveries for sixes before playing a dot. He ended the over with another six to score 19 off that over. In the following over, skipper Nicholas Pooran grabbed a single after starting the over with a dot, and then came Pollard, who sent the remaining four balls over the boundary for four consecutive sixes — making it seven sixes in eight deliveries.
