Few days after Windies cricketer Sherfane Rutherford was seen wearing Mumbai Indians’ jersey at his arrival in Karachi for Pakistan Super League (PSL), now the Caribbean was spotted wearing his IPL franchise’s gloves during the PSL 2020 Qualifier 1 match at Karachi’s national stadium.
The 22-year-old cricketer was a part of Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians but did not feature in a single IPL game in UAE. He flew from UAE to Karachi to be a part of PSL franchise Karachi Kings.
The left-handed batsman could not perform in the Karachi Kings’ innings as could contribute just one run off 3 balls but the aggressive hitter smashed a six and four in his team’s win in the Super Over. Despite his contribution with the bat in decisive Super Over, the allrounder hogged attention with his pair of MI gloves. After his video from the game went viral, fans were quick to notice and troll Karachi Kings and PSL after spotting him wearing the IPL 2020 winners’ gloves.

Earlier, the Guyanese cricketer was also trolled for wearing the MI jersey while landing at Karachi airport. Welcoming their player, the official Twitter handle of the Karachi franchise had shared his image wearing the MI jersey. The Twitterati roasted the franchise Karachi Kings for not being able to provide the basic cricket kit to their players.
