England try to make a late comeback through Rashid and Archer. After the spinner conceded just four singles, Archer tries to maintain the economy with some tight bowling. Kohli smacks him for a four, and it's evident that it's too late. IND: 154/3 (17 overs)
Kohli hits his 26th T20I half century and he does it in some style! He races down the ground, meets the ball on a fuller length and lifts the ball over deep mid-off. Three fours and two sixes in 35 balls. A true captain's innings from him. IND: 143/3 (15 overs)
Pant carries on with his blitzkrieg as he punishes Jordan for a four and a six in two straight balls. Kohli tries to calm him down after his maximum. But Jordan bites back in the very next ball with a caught behind. Pant walks back on 26. IND: 130/3 (13.4 overs)
After Sam Curran's rather economical over, conceding just five singles... Pant (10*) finds his rhythm. The wicketkeeper-batsman has been in fine form and he takes after his 2016 U19 World Cup teammate as he hits Rashid for a six! IND: 111/2 (12 overs)
Kishan shows off his exemplary confidence with the bat as he smacks Rashid for two straight sixes in the opening two balls of the over to hit his maiden half-century off just 28 balls. Five fours and four sixes too. But the spinner bites back later in the over after putting the 22-year-old under pressure. Kishan walks back on 56 after being dismissed via a LBW. IND: 94/2 (10 overs)
India are enjoying the show now... Stokes comes into the attack and he's absolutely flayed by the dynamic duo at the crease. Two sixes -- one by Kohli, another by Kishan. Kishan carries the momentum into the next over and hits a four. IND: 75/1 (8 overs)
Judging by his confidence, Kohli looks imperious tonight. Although he was dismissed for two straight ducks, he's already up to 22 from 15 balls now, hitting three boundaries. After a six and two fours, Kishan is on 27* on the other side. IND: 50/1 (6 overs)

Ishan Kishan starts his international career brightly! Archer comes into the attack and off the first ball itself, Kishan tickles it away calmly towards fine leg for four. Kohli opens his account too with a single, first run in three innings for him! IND: 6/1 (2 overs)
Surprise, surprise! Ishan Kishan walks out to open for India alongside KL Rahul. Curran restarts the proceedings with the ball... and he puts Rahul under pressure with five straight dots. On the final ball, he dismisses Rahul with a caught behind. IND: 0/1 (1 over)
Shardul pops up with a bit of magic -- first, dismissing Stokes and second, conceding six runs in the final over. England finish on 164/6 with Curran and Jordan in the middle. Roy top-scored with 46, while Washington and Shardul took two wickets each.
India have taken control of the contest somewhat, putting Stokes (23*) and Sam Curran under pressure. But the former's class reaps rewards for England as he hits a vital boundary off Bhuvneshwar. Just one more over to go. ENG: 158/5 (19 overs)
The danger-man's gone! Morgan is sent back to the dressing room after India built up the pressure in the last two overs. Shardul gets his reward with a slower ball... Morgan top-edges it and Pant gets under the ball behind the wicket. ENG: 142/5 (17.1 overs)
Into the final five! India will want to pick wickets and stifle England, while their batsmen will have other ideas. ENG: 129/4 (15 overs)
Kohli's ecstatic as his spinner does the trick yet again! Washington gets his second wicket of the night and it's a big one. Bairstow (20) misjudges the bounce, gets a massive top-edge and Yadav takes the catch near deep midwicket. ENG: 119/4 (13.5 overs)
With his team three down and dwindling in the middle overs, skipper Morgan comes to the rescue. He takes on Shardul and first edges one to the ropes behind Pant. Then a boundary over cover and another four leg byes off the helmet. ENG: 111/3 (13 overs)
Another day, another dismissal in his 40s! Roy will certainly be ruing his shot selection tonight! Washington lures him out for a big shot but his swipe across the line failed... as Bhuvneshwar takes the catch. The batsman departs on 46. ENG: 91/3 (11.1 overs)
Despite scalping a vital wicket, Chahal went for 10 runs in the previous over... almost characteristically. Pandya continues his spell and puts some pressure on the visitors -- Roy (44*) and Bairstow (5*). India need more wickets now. ENG: 83/2 (10 overs)
After getting smacked for a six in the previous over by Roy, Chahal has his revenge. He takes on his partner Malan (24) and traps him between the wickets. India take a review and it's plumb. The conventional slog-sweep cost him. ENG: 64/2 (8.2 overs)
Malan drives as Pandya continues in the 8th over. Shardul misfields, lets the drive go through him for four. Roy slaps another boundary past the bowler for four more later in the over. 13 off the over.

Chahal takes the ball as the Powerplay ends. Roy lets one go through to the keeper, then tries an unseemly reverse sweep. A stumping appeal off the third ball but Roy dragged his back foot back in. Roy, cutting a frustrated figure, tries smashing but doesn't find the connection. Till the 5th ball...when he smashes a six over deep midwicket - for six. That's release of pressure on Roy.

Hardik Pandya is who bowls the last Powerplay over for India. The last time he bowled four overs in a T20 was against South Africa in 2019. Roy flashes at a wide delivery. There is a top edge which lands just out of reach of the fielder running back from the limit of the inner circle. Good variation of pace from Hardik.

Malan, taking his time against Sundar's spin, muscles the last ball of the fourt over for a boundary down the ground. Shardul Thakur is the first change for India, he bowls in place of Bhuvi. Lots happening in his over. A catch lands just short of Chahal at short fine leg. Then there is a thick edge off Malan, which short third man dives over.

Bhuvi, continuing in the 3rd, is unlucky to give away a few boundaries to Roy, despite having him in plenty of trouble. Fine leg comes into the circle following the two fours.

Washington Sundar bowls the second over. Jason Roy attacks him. A six over long on off the first ball of the over. Good comeback from Sundar in the rest of the over, drags his length back as he sees the batsmen advancing. 7 runs off the second over.

Malan comes in at 3 and plays out a few dot balls as Bhuvi keeps swinging the ball around in this cauldron of a stadium. Malan times away the last ball of the over to sweeper cover. Fielder gives chase but the outfield is lightning fast. Four!

Wicket in the first over! England are 1/1. Buttler is pegged back on the back foot as Bhuvaneshwar swings one back into him at an awkward length. Buttler doesn't even take a Review. He is gone for a duck.

The field is in position. Pandya and Pant seen having a joke in the middle. Roy and Buttler stride out for England as blaring music competes with a vociferous Ahmedabad crowd to intimidate the pair. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowls the first over.
India sacrificing Axar Patel and including Surya and Kishan means one very vital thing for the first innings. Hardik Pandya, who was tidy in the first match, will be used as a full-time bowling option. England have included Tom Curran in place of Mark Wood, which is more of a like-for-like replacement.
