Asia Cup 2023, India vs Bangladesh Weather Today: India’s last Super 4 fixture against Bangladesh on Friday could see brief stoppages in play because of showers as a washout looks highly unlikely as of the morning forecast. According to AccuWeather, there is a chance of thunderstorm and rain between 5-6 pm and beyond that the conditions are expected to be ideal in Colombo.

Even in case of a rain, it won’t affect much as India have already made it to the final and Bangladesh are out of reckoning having lost both their matches, making this fixture an inconsequential one for both. However, keeping the World Cup picture in mind, there is plenty for both teams to look forward to. Bangladesh, who are missing several of their first choice players to injuries, will miss the services Mushfiqur Rahim for the fixture because of personal reasons.

Despite putting together a strong team that could do well in the sub-continent conditions, this Asia Cup has been a huge wake up call for Bangladesh who have one only one match in the tournament — against Afghanistan.
India, on Friday, will be a major test for them.

As far as India goes, it would be interesting to see how they go about their XI. Having played back to back matches, they would be tempted to ring in a few changes in the middle order and on the bowling front. Shreyas Iyer, who missed the last two matches with a back spasm, trained on the eve of the match, but it is not certain to make the XI. If he continues to struggle with his fitness and isn’t fully fit before the three-match series against Australia, then he might struggle to retain his spot in the World Cup squad.

With Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma also in the mix, it won’t be surprising of India make the changes as they would prefer to see them get some game time. Despite his good run of scores in T20s, Suryakumar continues to struggle in ODIs.
