Deepak Chahar took a record six-wicket haul, including a hat-trick after entertaining half-centuries from Shreyas Iyer and K L Rahul, as India defeated a self-destructing Bangladesh by 30 runs in the third and final T20I to win the series 2-1 at VCA Stadium in Nagpur on Sunday.
Pacers Deepak Chahar (6/7 in 3.2 overs), who registered the best figures in a T20 match besides becoming the first Indian to take a hat-trick in the shortest format, and Shivam Dube (3/30) shared nine wickets amongst themselves to secure India’s first T20 series win at home this season. Iyer (62 off 33) and Rahul (52 off 35) had earlier smashed sublime half-centuries to propel India to 174 for five.

A hat-trick and a world-best for #DeepakChahar. Even more impressive was that he took on the role of the leader and took those wickets with a wet ball. A night to savour for him and his family.

Congrats Team India on the series win. Gr8 to see the way Rahul & Shreyas batted and then outstanding spell of bowling from Chahar who was ably supported by Shivam Dube and other bowlers. #IndvsBan @StarSportsIndia

Very impressed with the way @deepak_chahar9 has evolved as a T20I bowler. Always had the ability to pick up wickets with the new ball but has worked hard to bowl in the middle and end overs. Got a lot of variations up his sleeves & knows when to use them. #INDvsBAN

Special word of praise for Deepak Chahar! Taking hatrick in any format is a big thing but a Six in the innings by ball is incredible. #chahar
