
India vs Bangladesh (IND vs BAN) 1st Test, Day 2 Highlights: In a day where Mayank Agarwal stole all the headlines with his magnificent 243-run knock, hitting 28 fours and 8 sixes, India took a massive lead of 343 runs in the Day 2 of the first Test at Holkar International Stadium in Indore.
After Bangladesh picked up two big wickets in the morning session, India reclaimed control through a majestic double-hundred from Mayank Agarwal and a solid 86-run knock from Ajinkya Rahane. Earlier, Cheteshwar Pujara departed after scoring 54 whereas Virat Kohli got out for a rare duck, his third in home Tests. Ravindra Jadeja came to support the opener after the vice-captain’s dismissal and went to score an unbeaten 60.

After a late, late show of enthusiasm and balls flying out of the park, thanks to Umesh Yadav's blistering 25-run knock and Ravindra Jadeja's unbeaten 60, India have taken a massive lead of 343 runs. Mayank Agarwal's innings comes to an end after an epic 243-run knock from 330 balls, hitting 28 fours and eight sixes. After he hit Mehidy Hasan for a maximum, he went for another but got caught by Abu Jayed near the boundary. He is the second-highest run-getter against Bangladesh in Test cricket after Sachin Tendulkar's 248. IND are 432/5 after 107.3 overs.

The second session of Day 2 of first Test went in India's favour as Mayank Agarwal and Ajinkya Rahane continued to pile on runs. Agarwal reached his 150 whereas Rahane nears his 13th Test century. Agarwal has a chance to become India's first opener to hit a double century against Bangladesh. IND are 303/3 after 84 overs.

Despite the two wickets of Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli, India have done well in the first session of Day Two. Only Abu Jayed has been successful for Bangladesh taking three wickets so far.
