India vs Australia (IND vs AUS) 2nd ODI Highlights: India won the match by 36 runs levelling the ODI series by 1-1. Chasing a mammoth target of 341, Australia did not get off to a good start losing David Warner early on. Manish Pandey’s one-handed screamer sent back in-form Warner. Aaron Finch and Steve Smith tried to rebuild innings but the former lost his wicket to Ravindra Jadeja. Marnus Labuschagne playing his debut innings shared a crucial partnership with Steve Smith to bring Australia back in the game. Labuschagne missed his maiden half-century by four runs losing his wicket to Jadeja. Kuldeep Yadav came back well in his last spell taking the wickets of Smith and Alex Carey in a single over. Smith missed his ninth ODI century by just two runs.
Australia could not recover after Kuldeep’s double blow. Mohammed Shami came back in the attack and cleaned up Ashton Turner and Pat Cummins with back-to-back yorkers. Navdeep Saini got two wickets in an over as well removing Mitchell Starc and Ashton Agar. Jasprit Bumrah ended the innings with Adam Zampa’s wicket as India won by a comfortable margin.
Earlier, Aaron Finch won the toss and elected to field first. India got a good start with the 81-run partnership for the first wicket. Shikhar Dhawan hit his second half-century on the trot in the series. Dhawan missed his century by four runs. Virat Kohli hit a half-century as well batting at No.3 position. KL Rahul took up the role of No.5 batsman and hit a 52-ball 80. Zampa took three wickets whereas Richardson took two as India posted the highest total at the ground in an ODI.
