India T20I Squad for England Series 2025: Shami returns; Samson, Jurel named keepers in 15-member squad

India T20I Squad, Players List for England Series 2025: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against England. The defending world T20 champions are yet to lose a bilateral series since their trophy win in Barbados.

While the next World Cup is in 2026 the team in the absence of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja will look to fill those spots. The team has been adhering to attacking philosophy in recent times and has been able to put on unreal scores on the board. The likes of Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma have been thorn in the flesh of the opposition teams meanwhile Arshdeep Singh has been key component with the ball in providing early breakthroughs.

The highlight of the squad for the five-match series is the return of pacer Mohammed Shami back to international cricket after 14 months. Key members of India’s Test team in Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant have been rested while Harshit Rana and Nitish Kumar Reddy have returned to the side. Dhruv Jurel is the fresh face in the side, replacing Jitesh Sharma as the second keeper behind Samson.

The ODI squad for the three-match series in February will be announced at a later date.
