India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja turned 28 on Tuesday and the flamboyant character got wishes from his former and current teammates on Twitter. While the best wish belonged to Virender Sehwag, who found a December 6 connection to playing for India, Rohit Sharma too wasn’t too far behind.

With Jadeja sharing his birthday with RP Singh, Karun Nair and Jasprit Bumrah, Sehwag wondered whether the date improves chances of playing for India. In an earlier Tweet, the dashing opener had an advice for the spinner who finishes his overs in no time.

“Chips ki packet ki tarah jaldi over khatam karne waale @imjadeja ,Happy Birthday. Cut the cake in this style,by ghumaooing knife like sword,” Sehwag wrote on Twitter and also posted a collage of Jadeja’s royal celebration in the middle.

Rohit too joined the “troll wagon” and urged his India teammate to reveal his actual age, which he believes is not 28. “Wish you a great birthday jaddu. Please tell the whole world your real age. They think your 28 😂😂😂@imjadeja,” Rohit, who is recovering from a surgery, wrote on Twitter.

Jadeja has been in the news for his contributions in the middle for India and the recent one was his career-best 90 against England in the third Test of the five-match series against England. With top order back in the hut cheaply, Jadeja stitched valuable partnerships with R Ashwin and Jayant Yadav to first bail the side out of trouble and then push the total to a substantial figure.

Jadeja will be back in action when the two teams lock horns in the fourth Test between India and England starting December 8 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
