Yuvraj Singh wished Gautam Gambhir on his birthday and Gambhir in return, wished him for his marriage due on December. Gambhir was recently part of the Indian sqaud for the second and third Test matches and is recuperating from a shoulder injury he picked up during the series.

“Many happy returns of the the day mr @GautamGambhir ! God bless you with running between the wickets and a smiley! Keep going gg! (sic.),” said Yuvraj in his tweet. Gambhir responded by saying, “@YUVSTRONG12 tks bro best wishes ever. I gues wid ur marriage round d corner u 2 can do wid some sharp runing between d kitchen & bedroom!(sic.)”

Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh were an integral part of the Indian team that won the 2011 ICC World Cup. Although he was part of the Indian team for the second and third Test matches against New Zealand, he played only in the third Test after Shikhar Dhawan, who replaced KL Rahul in the opening spot got injured.

Gambhir made 29 runs in the India’s first innings before falling to Trent Boult. In the second innings, he scored 50 runs in the second innings despite a niggling shoulder injury that had forced him to initially walk off the field.

Along with Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan were amongst others who wished Gambhir on the occasion. Considering Sehwag’s penchant for witty tweets, his birthday wish was a rather sober one, and Gambhir pointed it out by tweeting, “Thanks @virendersehwag bhai. I was expecting a wish in your commentary style bhai. (sic.)”
