West Indies wicketkeeper-batsman Denesh Ramdin, in a series of tweets, indicated that he will not be a part of the West Indies squad for the upcoming four Tests against touring India. While the hosts are yet to make a formal announcement, Ramdin revealed that “new chariman says my avg isn’t gud”.

There was a reshuffle in the West Indies selection panel in June when Courtney Browne, former Windies stumper, replaced Clive Llyod as chairman of selectors.

The 31-year-old has represented West Indies in 74 Tests and has scored 2898 runs at an average of 25.87. In his last outing for the Windies in the whites, he scored a 62 against Australia in third Test of the Frank Worrell Trophy in January, 2016.

Ramdin was clearly not pleased with the axe and hit back at Browne on Twitter.
