A shameful incident rocked a domestic cricket match in Bermuda on September 12.
In a match between Cleveland County Cricket Club and Willow Cuts Cricket Club, two players were involved in an ugly brawl. Jason Anderson, who has represented Bermuda in international cricket, was even slapped with a life ban after the incident.
Anderson who was wicket-keeping hit the batsman George O’Brien from behind.
Tempers flayed and soon O’Brien tried to hit Anderson with his bat, in retaliation, Anderson rammed into him and brought him down to the ground.
On the resumption, Cleveland County won the match by 72 runs.
Later on as the footage was reviewed, Anderson was found guilty and was given a life ban from participating in any cricket game inside Bermuda.
