We are into the last leg of the Hangzhou Asian Games with India finishing Day 11 on 86 medals with more confirmed to be coming their way.

Men’s hockey final: India vs Japan

Harmanpreet Singh and Co will be keen to not just get the gold medal back for India, but also ensure their quota spot for Paris 2024 when they take on reigning champions Japan. India have had a good recent record against them, but a tournament final can be a whole different ball-game.

Badminton semifinals: Who can go the distance?

After coming through contrasting quarterifnal wins, assuring a medal in men’s singles and men’s doubles for the first time since 1982, HS Prannoy and Satwik-Chirag face tough tests in the semifinal. Prannoy takes on All England champion Li Shi Feng who will be buoyed by home support while Satwik-Chirag take on former world champs Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik.

More semifinals across events

Apart from the shuttlers, both the men’s and women’s kabaddi teams will be in action in semifinals. Medals are assured in both, but the dominant team in Asia will want to put the ghosts of 2018 behind to reach the final and go for the gold they missed. The men’s cricket team will also be in action as they take on Bangladesh to take one step closer to the gold medal match. Pakistan vs Afghanistan is the other semifinal.
