No question of supporting BJP,Prashant’s views personal: Arvind Kejriwal

Kejriwal’s statement came a day after his colleague and Aam Aadmi Party leader Prashant Bhushan had said that AAP may consider supporting the BJP if the party gives in writing that it will pass the Jan Lokpal Bill by December end. “If the BJP gives us in writing that it will pass the Jan Lokpal Bill by December 29 and set up ‘Jan Sabhas’,as promised by the Aam Aadmi Party,we may consider supporting the party,” Bhushan said in an interview to NDTV on Monday.

Bhushan’s statement had sparked the speculations of a possible divide in the AAP. The noted lawyer himself clarified today that what he had said last night was in a rhetorical context.

“What I said was in a rhetorical context. I meant that if BJP becomes like AAP and does those things which AAP has been formed for and AAP believes in,then we can think of supporting them. But this is not possible because these

parties can never become like AAP,” he told reporters today.

Talking to reporters on Tuesday,Kejriwal also appealed to all the organisations,political forces and parties across the nation to come together and ‘correct the mistakes for the benefit of the nation.’ He also asked the leaders of other political parties to take a stand against the corruption or join their party.

On being asked about the FIR lodged against AAP candidate Dharmendra Singh Koli on molestation charges,Kejriwal said the allegations against Koli were false.

“He was taking a victory march to celebrate AAP’s performance. He was only bursting crackers infront of the house of the candidate who had lost,which was a wrong attitude. The party has taken notice of this and he has been warned against his behaviour. However,the allegations against him are not true.”
