Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy said the MLAs,who support him, would vote against the Congress government if the TDP moved a no-confidence motion in the Winter session of Andhra Pradesh Assembly beginning Thursday.
“Chandrababu Naidu is moving the no-confidence motion to see that the Jagan MLAs lose their posts if they vote in favour of it,” he said, addressing a gathering as part of his ‘Odarpu Yatra’ (tour for consoling) in the district.
“But I tell him that whatever be your intention,my MLAs,even if their number came down, would vote in favour of the no-confidence motion as they have sincerity. I have sincerity. They will be ready for bypolls also,” he added.
The MLAs are confident of facing bypolls as they stand by the farmers in distress and also common people,Jagan said.
“Values have fallen in politics because the Congress party is trying to isolate me by trying to take away my MLAs either by fear or favour. But I tell Chandrababu Naidu and the Congress leaders that god is watching all this and both parties would lose their deposits whenever by-elections are held,” he said.
Last week, over 21 MLAs loyal to Jagan, most of them belonging to the Congress, had attended a meeting called by the YSR Congress party.
Congress MP M Rajmohan Reddy, who has been supporting Jagan, had said after the meeting that YSR Congress would ask these legislators to support the non-confidence motion if it is moved with sincerity by the TDP.
