Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav is dissatisfied with the performance of the state government headed by son Akhilesh Yadav. On Tuesday,he chose the meeting of party legislators at CMs official residence to express his displeasure while making it apparent that he remains the boss in UP
Mulayam reportedly said: There is something lacking. I had given six months for the results so that people should feel the difference. Four months have passed and now only two months are left,it is better if you people do something.
Akhilesh and his ministerial colleagues listened silently to Mulayam, who has often been alleged to be the backseat driver of the Akhilesh government, and even a super chief minister.
Strangely,Vidhan Sabha Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey was also present at the meeting.

Mulayam,Pandey,Akhilesh and partys national general secretary Ram Asrey Kushwaha were seated on the stage. The ministers, including Azam Khan, who is number two in the ministry, were seated in the audience.
An official statement of the Samajwadi Party said it was a meeting of the legislature party, presided over by Akhilesh, where Mulayam delivered a special address.
Sources said though Mulayam did not name anyone,it was apparent he did not find the work being done by ministers satisfactory. Only a few ministers are doing their job well. I am dissatisfied with most. They should improve their style of functioning, he reportedly said, adding that party workers were being ignored by ministers and MLAs.
Mulayam referred to incidents of ministers openly voicing their differences. You should avoid doing so in public,it leads to embarrassment, he said.
His advice to MLAs: Being a legislator comes with added responsibility. Your conduct will reflect on the governments image. People have elected us with great expectation and you should fulfill your responsibilities.
He cautioned that the next Lok Sabha elections will be the real test for the party and the government needs to highlight good work being done for the common man and the poor.
Speaker Pandey asked the SP legislators to spend time in their constituencies. If you will attend the grievances of people round the year, you will have to spend less time during the elections. Ensure development of your constituencies so that people remain with you, he said.
Akhilesh narrated the major decisions of his government, the important budget proposals and said the government had tried to fulfill ”nearly 80 per cent of the poll promises. ”There is still room for improvement, the state government will fulfill all assurances made in the election manifesto, he said.
