The by-Poll to the Radhakrishnan Nagar (RK Nagar) assembly constituency in North Chennai, necessitated by the resignation of P Vetrivel, AIADMK MLA, paving way for party chief J Jayalalithaa to contest from the constituency, will take place on June 27.
Vetrivel resigned on May 17, days ahead of the legislature party meeting that elected Jayalalithaa as the new assembly leader, after the Karnataka High Court acquitted her in the disproportionate assets case on May 11.
