In wooing Jaya,Advani clubs her with Modi

Reaching out to potential partner J Jayalalithaa,senior BJP leader L K Advani Saturday compared the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister to the BJP’s poster boy Narendra Modi and described her party as a natural ally for the BJP-led NDA. The Gujarat CM,who shares a close rapport with Jayalalithaa,was also present.

Advani said the same at the 42nd anniversary celebration of the periodical Thuglak,edited and owned by political commentator Cho Ramaswamy. Cho has emerged as an influential power centre in the state,especially since the ouster of Jayalalithaa’s companion Sasikala Natarajan.

“Although the AIADMK is not part of the NDA yet,our informal cooperation with her party and especially floor coordination with it in Parliament have been growing,” Advani said.

India needs more transformational leaders like Modi and Jayalalithaa,he added.
