Former AAP leader Vinod Kumar Binny on Sunday joined the BJP along with former BSP deputy mayor and councillor Vir Singh, former bureaucrat Devki Nandan and former Congress leader Ram Kailash Gupta.
The BJP said it had roped in Binny to counter the AAP. “He (Arvind Kejriwal) duped people when he said he will waive off electricity bills. When we asked him to begin his administrative work by fulfilling this promise, he told us that it was not possible and we are all fools,” Binny alleged.

Earlier, Binny had claimed that he wanted to contest against Kejriwal from the New Delhi constituency. When asked about it, he said, “I will do whatever party asks me to.”
Binny also claimed that Kejriwal had “fooled” many other leaders like he had Binny and Shazia.

“AAP leaders acted as if they were playing a role in a scripted drama. We were very emotional at time of the Anna Hazare movement and believed Kejriwal. Moholla sabhas was my concept which they encashed,” Binny said.
