The BJP’s defeat in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghosi Assembly bypoll by the Samajwadi Party (SP) could weaken the bargaining power of its allies, especially Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief Om Prakash Rajbhar, in the region ahead of the Lok Sabha elections due in April-May 2024, party insiders said.
