Two Independent Lok Sabha MPs from Bihar — Putul Kumari, who was elected to Lok Sabha from Banka in 2010 after the seat fell vacant after the death of her husband Digvijay Singh, and Om Prakash Yadav who represents Siwan Lok Sabha constituency — joined the BJP Monday in the presence of BJP president Rajnath Singh and senior party leaders from the state, including Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Shahnawaj Hussain and Sushil Kumar Modi in the Capital.

While the party has not officially promised them a ticket for the Lok Sabha elections, sources said both will have a very strong claim for candidature in wake of the fact that both these constituencies were under the JD(U) quota in the NDA.
