Coconut water is a naturally refreshing and energising liquid inside the coconut fruit. Coconut water is low in fat and calories but immensely filled with minerals, vitamins and other nutrients. Key nutrients include iron, chloride, potassium, sodium, phosphorous, magnesium, lauric acid and calcium. It is known to consist of twice the potassium content than one banana. One coconut offers an 11 ounce serving of water.

Packed with nutrients and offering a sweet taste, coconut water is great for your little one. It’s also a great source of calcium and vitamin C and can help prevent dehydration when your tot is unwell as it replenishes the natural salts that are lost when they’re sick or have diarrhoea.

Coconut water is a wonder tonic for treating the cold and flu. It contains the exact portion of vitamins, minerals, and salts for treating fever and even aids with gastrointestinal diseases. For the best natural remedy against the cold and flu, coconut water is your ultimate option.

Coconut water should not be given to babies below six months as there might be chances of allergic reactions. Coconut water is known to have high sugar and sodium content, which is why, it is recommended to mix it with rice before serving it to babies to dilute its contents.
