To make up for the learning losses of the displaced students, the department will depute volunteer teachers to relief camps to organise coaching classes.

“Since the displaced students do not possess textbooks, the government will provide the same after collecting from various sources,” the minister said.

Th Bashanta Singh further informed that the transfer of displaced students studying in Class 9 to 12 to schools of their choice will be allowed provided seats are available.

“If seats are not available in the selected school, arrangements will be made in other nearby schools,” said Singh, adding that those who live in far-flung areas would be provided with gadgets like tablets for distance learning.

Singh said similar data for displaced students pursuing higher studies have also been collected and will be made available soon.

He further said that results for the Class 12 board examination will be announced around 3 pm Monday. However, the publication of Class 10 results might get delayed.
