More than three months after the disaster caused by flashfloods and landslides hit Uttarakhand,the Yatra for Hemkunda Sahib,the holy pilgrimage of Sikhs in Chamoli district,was resumed Saturday. The first batch of pilgrims is expected to reach there Sunday. The shrine is located at a height of more than 15,000 feet. CM Vijay Bahuguna flagged off the first batch of 500 pilgrims from Govindghat. In a press release issued by the state,Bahuguna also said that the Kedarnath yatra will resume October 1.
