While there are celebrations galore at Yash Raj Films as Yash Chopra has been felicitated by the Embassy of Switerland,his marketing department has been busy refuting rumours about a standoff between the father-son duo which was published on an online portal. Yash Chopra,who has shot many of his films in Switzerland including Chandni,Darr,Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge,Mohabbatein,Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai,Mujhse Dosti Karoge,Veer-Zaara,Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Bachna Ae Haseeno,was felicitated by the Embassy of Switzerland with the Swiss Ambassador Award 2010 for his contribution in promoting Switzerland in his films.
The award was presented at a party hosted at the Swiss Ambassador,Philippe Weltis residence. This is not the first for Yash Chopra. Earlier,the Swiss Government had honoured him for helping rediscover Switzerland. He was presented a special award by Swiss actress Ursula Andress on behalf of the Swiss Government.
Meanwhile as for the rumoured standoff between Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra and a possible separation between the duo,Rafiq Gangjee,VP,marketing and communications,YRF said,There is no truth to these rumours. It is a relationship between two people and in my opinion nobody should get into that personal space. Refuting rumours that Tamil actor Rajinikanth has been approached for Dhoom-3,Gangjee added,No such plans have been made. The script is yet to be finalised.
