Three-day festival held in memory of Vishnuvardhan

A three-day film festival,called the Simhavalokana Film Festival,was held to mark the 60th birth anniversary of the late actor Vishnuvardhan.

A three-day film festival,called the Simhavalokana Film Festival,was held recently by the Vibha Charitable Trust to mark the 60th birth anniversary of the late actor Vishnuvardhan.

The fest,which showcased 12 notable films of the actor,including Nagara Haavu,Malaya Marutha,Suprabhata,Veerappa Nayaka,Bandhana,Simhadriya Simha,Diggajaru,Karna,Yajamana and Laali was held from September 17 to September 19. The movies were screened at the Inox,Garuda Mall in Bengaluru and the fest was attended by Vishnuvardhans ardent fans in large numbers.

In connection with the festival,a function was also held at the Abhiman Studios for Vishnuvardhan fans. As part of the function blood and eye donation camps were organised and Nanna Haadu Nannadu,a book on Vishnuvardhan penned by Nandakumar,was also released.

There are plans to conduct such festivals in other cities across Karnataka too.
