Six killed by lightning in Orissa

At least six people were killed and seven injured in separate lightning incidents in different places of Orissa.

At least six people were killed and seven injured in separate lightning incidents in different places of Orissa,official sources said Sunday. Two women working in the field died and five others were injured when lightning struck in Ganjam district and a 42-year-old farm labourer was killed in Kendrapara district Saturday evening. Also,two labourers were killed in Keonjhar district,and a youth was killed and two were injured in Cuttack district.

Seven killed in house collapse incidents

Seven persons were killed,and five injured in separate incidents of houses collapsing due to rain in Uttar Pradesh. Five persons were killed and five injured in Kannauj on Sunday when a house collapsed. In Azamgarh,a couple was killed after a house collapsed due to heavy rains in Tadi village Saturday evening.
