S-I killed,cop injured in Expressway mishap

Police said the two were returning from Gurgaon,where they had gone to hunt for an alleged criminal

A Delhi Police sub-inspector was killed and a head constable severely injured when the car they were travelling in turned turtle after crashing into a road divider at Rajokri flyover on the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway on Thursday night.

Police said the two were returning from Gurgaon,where they had gone to hunt for an alleged criminal.

S-I Virender Prakash (38) was driving the car while Head Constable Balbir Singh (45) was sitting next to him. Around 12.30 am,the car rammed into a road divider and turned turtle. The S-I died on the spot, said a senior police officer. Singh has been admitted to the AIIMS Trauma Centre.
