Shiksha Abhiyan may be extended to Class XII

The Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) programme is likely to be extended to government-aided schools during the 12th plan period,HRD Minister Kapil Sibal said at the 58th meeting of the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) on Wednesday. The scheme,aimed at universal access to secondary education by 2017,could also be extended up to class XII.
