Set in the urban scape of Mumbai,Shaitan is a story of five young,intelligent,good-looking and uber-cool youngsters – Amy,Dash,KC,Zubin and Tanya. This group of five is always on the lookout for something exciting. They are carefree, restless and free-spirited.

The story gets a twist with a moment in their lives. An accident and their actions to cover up the same, leads them through a series of incidents across the roads, streets and bylanes of the city and also brings forth the dark side of their personalities.

The chase between the youngsters and the police officers also exposes the underbelly of the police system that prevails within the country. The film thus promises to be a combination of action, drama and thrills.

The buzz

* The film has actress Kalki Koechlin kissing Kirti Kulhari. Later,Kirti had a hard time on the sets as she was constantly being teased by the rest of the cast. Even Kalki fooled around, and started behaving like she had the hots for her. She also would run her hands on her thighs and amused Keerti.

* Shiv Pandit along with other actors decided to do his own stunts. He had to jump off a building, with no body-double and no ropes involved. He missed his spot, fell down and nearly broke his leg.

* Model Sheetal Menon was one of the first actors to come on board but as she had an interest in filmmaking, she ended up being an assistant director as well.
