Samir Soni, who spent hours sitting under the scorching sun with his luggage to protest when Bigg Boss did not adhere to his pleas and was later sent out of the house, has re-entered the Bigg Boss’ house. Looks like he couldn’t resist the lure of the show.

The actor, who alleged that he was physically assaulted by actress Dolly Bindra, says, “I was nearly assaulted by Dolly after I confronted her over her vulgar remarks towards Shweta Tiwari. I have bruises to prove she attacked me.” Samir, who felt let down by Bigg Boss’s decision, adds that he conducted himself in a proper way without raising his hand or touching anyone. “How could have I been put in the same league as Dolly Bindra in terms of guilt? “he asks.

As for Dolly Bindra, the drama queen feels that she is already a winner! She says,“I am happy that I am not in the midst of people who are insecure. I have no regrets whatsoever about my actions. They would ill-treat me and didn’t let me sleep. I have received the biggest vote of the season — the popularity vote.”

So,what if Dolly was evicted out of Colors’ reality show Bigg Boss 4 for a fight that ensued between Samir and her,the drama-queen is ready to go back to the show. She says,“Oh yes! I will go back inside if the channel wants me to do so.”

Wonder if Bigg Boss is willing to let Dolly re-enter the house?

Sushant gets into the groove again

Things seem to be looking up for Sushant Singh Rajput, better known as Manav from Pavitra Rishta.

The serial is currently celebrating the re-marriage of Manav and Archana (Ankita Lokhande). Expressing his delight, the actor says,“Yes,we are getting married again. We (Manav and Archana) were in love and got married. But we got separated and didn’t see each other for one and a half years. Now we are reuniting again to stay together forever.”

Sushant and Ankita will also be seen in Sony’s Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa,albeit with different choreographers. The actor admits that he is in talks of being a part of a reality show but refuses to divulge further. We can’t wait to see Sushant get into the groove. The actor, who was a part of Shiamak Davar’s dance troupe, was earlier seen in the reality show Zara Nachke Dikha.

Ashita’s new catch-phrase

She shot to fame as the quirky Malati Bhabhi in Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai and her catchphrase Jhoot to main bolti nahin made her a household name. Ashita Dhawan has now found a new catch phrase in her new role as Gaushala in Rakesh Paswan’s Baba Aiso Var Dhundo on Imagine.

Each time she appears on screen her character says Main Ramji ki bhanji hoon. Ashita herself insisted that she should be given this line. She says,“A catch- phrase always helps you to connect faster with the audience and they remember you even after the serial is no longer on air. While shooting for Bidaai,I had told director Rajan Shahi that I needed such a line and I actually came up with one. So this time I spoke to Rakeshji and came up with Ramji ki kasam. He improvised it as Main Ramji ki bhanji hoon. I’m really happy with the audience’s response. Whenever people meet me they call me Ramji ki bhanji.”

Ashita should thank producer Rakesh Paswan,a Ram bhakt, who came up with the tagline.

Facebook trouble

Nandish Sandhu, who plays the character of Veer in Uttaran,is extremely worried these days. A few days back the actor found out that someone is impersonating him and interacting with his friends and fans on social networking site Facebook.

The impostor has made a new account in Nandish’s name and is constantly chatting with his female fans. He has not only asked them for their phone numbers but is also asking them out on dates.

A worried Nandish says,“A female fan of mine mailed me regarding this problem. The impostor took her number as well and even called her up,but as she knew everything about me he was not able to fool her. I was very shocked to hear all this because I have taken all the necessary steps to make sure that my account stays private. I was quite shocked.”

He tried to locate the profile but since there are many accounts under his name, set up by his fans,he has been unable to do so. Though the actor has informed the Facebook authorities he hasn’t received any feedback from them. Nandish is now planning to contact the cops so that they can locate the perpetrator.

Priyanka makes a comeback

Her no-nonsense attitude in Left Right Left (LRL) made her the queen of hearts. But rather than basking in the glory,Priyanka Bassi took a self-imposed hiatus for two years. The pretty actress is now back on the small screen with Rang Badalti Odhani on Star One. The show is being revamped.

Priyanka will be seen as a bubbly chirpy girl who is a college friend of the male lead and meets him after a long time. The young actress is excited about being back in the limelight.

But ask her what prompted her to take a break and Priyanka says,“I was shooting for Bombay Talking,my debut show,on Zee cafe when I got noticed by producers Deeya and Tony Singh and bagged a role in LRL. I was shooting non-stop. So after LRL got over,I wanted to take a break. I learnt Kathak and yoga, travelled a lot and spent time with my family.”

She explains that she took up Rang Badalti Odhani due to various reasons. “Two weeks back I thought of returning to television and promised myself that I’ll take up the first offer that comes my way. In LRL,I was seen sans make-up. But in this show,I’ll be seen in a glamorous avatar. Star One focusses on the youth as their target audience. Most of my fans comprise of this age group. So I hope everything works out well,” she smiles.

Back to his roots

He was first noticed on Zee TV’s talent hunt show India’s Best Cinestar Ki Khoj in 2004. But after six years Himmanshoo will now be seen as the male lead in Zee’s upcoming show Bhagonwali – Baante Apni Taqdeer.

The actor will be play a jovial,street-smart guy called Guddu Shukla, who falls in love with the female lead. He admits that it was quite difficult initially to play the part. Himmanshoo says,“Guddu is completely opposite of my real-life personality. I was quite tense and nervous before shooting as I had to master the dialect of Uttar Pradesh. But after a three-day workshop,I learnt few nuances and got into the skin of my character.”

Quiz him about what he was up to all these years and Himmanshoo smiles,“After being a part of the talent hunt show,I acted in Zee Next’s Pyaar,Ishq,Mohabbat. Later I played the lead role in Bindaas Champ,a show replete with biking and babes and acted in Yash Raj’s Seven on Sony. But I guess you get recognition only if the shows are promoted well and become popular. I’m really glad that I’m playing a lead now in Bhagonwali…” Bhagonwali – Baante Apni Taqdeer goes on air from November 29 at 6 pm on Zee TV.

Chasing dreams

She took up modelling as a hobby. But little did Sara Khan (not to be mistaken with Sara Khan of Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai and Bigg Boss fame) know that it would land her a lead role in Star One’s new show Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein.

In the serial,Sara is seen as Alka Tiwari,an architect, who leads a steady life in New York. Her life changes after she comes to India. The 20-something started off her career as a model and was seen in commercials of LG refrigerator and Kaya Skin Clinic. She is also a part of singer Lucky Ali’s new video.

Explaining how she landed the role in the new show,Sara says,“I was sitting at a cafe with my friends. Few people from Star One spotted me and approached me for this role. Initially I was quite reluctant as acting never figured in my scheme of things. But they insisted that I should meet the producer and director. They narrated me the story and I simply couldn’t refuse.”

Sara, who is a mind coach and trains children and parents,is now focussing on acting. She smiles,“I am writing a book on parenting but I have kept it on hold for a year as I want to focus on my debut show.”
