SAD our natural ally, won’t break ties: Harsh Vardhan

Harsh Vardhan described the SAD (Badal) as a natural ally of BJP and said he was confident the relationship would continue.

The BJP chief ministerial candidate Harsh Vardhan on Saturday said his party was coordinating with Shromani Akali Dal (Badal) leaders to cement their alliance in Delhi and would never want the alliance to be broken at any cost.

“We have been closely coordinating with SAD leaders and I would never like the alliance to be broken at any cost. This is the view of the party also. I expect the results to be positive,” he said.

The BJP’s initiative to further strengthen the alliance came in the backdrop of Delhi unit of SAD (Badal) announcing its intention to contest 16 seats on its own in the Assembly polls. On October 22,the core committee of Delhi unit of SAD (Badal) had unanimously passed a resolution about contesting solo in the Assembly elections and sent a letter to this effect to party president Sukhbir Singh Badal to take a call on the issue.

Harsh Vardhan described the SAD (Badal) as a natural ally of BJP and said he was confident the relationship would continue. He said both parties would work with the sole aim of defeating the Congress.

“For the last so many years,we have always allied with the Akali Dal. They are our natural allies. Our alliance with the party is not yet over. The final thing has yet not emerged,” he said.
