Kajal Aggarwal is the girl director Rohit Shetty has finally settled to play the female lead in the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Singam. Her brilliant performance in the Telugu film Magadheera is what bagged her the role in this Hindi action film. She looks good and suits the role, says the director known for success at comedies.
The cop-based film set in the Goa-Maharashtra border has Ajay Devgn playing a Marathi guy. It also boasts of a 30-member Marathi starcast comprising Ashok Saraf,Sachin Khedekar,Sonali Kulkarni,Anant Jog,Vijay Patkar and others. Ajay-Atul,who are creating waves on the Marathi film music scenario,are the music composers for the film that goes on floors on March 1 in Goa in a long-schedule till April 24. with a few days of shooting left for May. Rohit plans to release the film in July 22.
Rohit also plans to commence the shooting of Bol Bachan in June in Hyderabad. This film will release during Diwali,which is a lucky time for the director as his films have always hit the bulls-eye when released during the festive season. Bol Bachan has Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan coming together after Zameen and L.O.C. in this out-and-out comedy. Two girls are yet to be finalised.
As for the remake of Angoor,Rohit says that since it is still in the scripting stages,he will talk about it only when things are finalised. Meanwhile he is busy shooting for Comedy Circus that he enjoys judging immensely.
