RCom shares up 4.7% post Q4 profit

RCom shares sored up to 4.7% after company reported consolidated net profit of Rs 332 cr during last qtr.

Shares of Reliance Communications (RCom) today sored up to 4.7 per cent after the company reported consolidated net profit of Rs 332 crore for the quarter ended March 31,2012.

Making a bullish start,RCom share gained 4.49 per cent to touch a high of Rs 68.55 on the BSE.

At the NSE,the scrip soared 4.73 per cent to Rs 68.60.

On the volume front,13.81 lakh shares were traded on the BSE,while over 51 lakh shares changed hands on the NSE.

The company’s net profit was Rs 168 crore in the year-ago period. On sequential basis,it was up 78 per cent from Rs 186 crore in October-December quarter last fiscal.

The board has recommended a dividend of 25 paise per equity share of Rs 5 for the financial year 2011-12.

Meanwhile,the BSE 30-scrip benchmark Sensex was trading at 16,312.83,up 95 points at 1045 hrs.
