The Reserve Bank today fixed the reference rate of the rupee for the US dollar at 53.1198 and the Euro at 68.6020 as against 52.7000 a Dollar and 68.1585 a Euro as on last Friday.
In a press release issued by RBI,the exchange rates for the pound and yen against the rupee were quoted at 85.1457 a pound and 67.65 per 100 yen,based on reference rates for the US dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.
The reference rate is based on the noon rates of select banks here and the SDR-Rupee rate would be based on this rate,the release added.
