Days after his party workers faced off against the NCP across the state,MNS president Raj Thackeray maintained his belligerent stance and challenged NCP leaders to cross paths against him.
If you have the establishment with you I have the displaced with me. They will enter your homes and beat you up, Thackeray said, addressing a public rally in Jalna.
This was his first public rally after the February 26 incident in which his vehicle was allegedly stoned by NCP workers. The incident led to violence between the NCP and MNS across the state.
Even though many were hoping he would show some restraint during his address, the MNS president took a strident position, imitating Ajit Pawar as well as mocking senior NCP leaders. If you are going to throw stones I am more than ready to throw them back. You should ask the Home Ministry and police to step aside and I assure you that you will not be able to walk back on your own two feet, Thackeray said.
He also questioned Sharad Pawar, who asked politicians to refrain from ostentatious display of wealth during a time when major parts of the state are facing water shortage. I just want to ask Sharad Pawar if he is going to stop IPL matches from taking place in the state in April. If he cannot than he should stop speaking about austerity, Thackeray said.
He also stated that Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and his supporters are conspiring to malign the name of MNS leaders by implicating them in controversies.
