While the Opposition has criticised Mamata Banerjee for her East India Railway Budget,her Ministers of State in Rail Bhavan as well as other Cabinet colleagues have lost no time in assuring their respective states that they have got their due too. During the discussion on the Rail Budget,both K H Muniyappa (Karnataka) and E Ahamed (Kerala) repeatedly sought the Lok Sabha Speakers permission to emphasise that the two states had got their due share. Law Minister Veerappa Moily too got his ministry to issue a press release highlighting three world class stations,one multi-function complex,six new train services,nine new lines and an allocation of Rs. 1,026 crore for Karnataka.
