Punish others involved in attacks: Shinde to Pak

Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Wednesday asked Pakistan to punish all others involved in the Mumbai terror attacks after the Supreme Court upheld the death sentence against Ajmal Kasab.

After todays verdict,Pakistan should ensure that others involved in the Mumbai attacks living in that country should also be punished, Shinde told reporters. Investigators have concluded that Lashkar-e-Toiba founder Hafiz Sayeed,its commander Zaki-ur-Rehman and several other Pakistani terrorists were co-conspirators in the Mumbai attacks,planning and executing the operation from Pakistani soil.

Shinde said he had told Pakistans Interior Minister Rahman Malik that New Delhi would like Islamabad to act quickly and decisively against the conspirators of the Mumbai attack. Shinde said it was too premature to talk about the fate of Kasabs mercy petition but in case such an application was moved,the Home Ministry will ensure that it is disposed of as quickly as possible.
