Prajapati case: ‘Aggarwal spoke to Pandya minutes before killing’

Arrested IPS officer Vipul Aggarwal called up and spoke to absconding policeman Ashish Pandya minutes before the latter shot Tulsi Prajapati.

Arrested IPS officer Vipul Aggarwal called up and spoke to absconding policeman Ashish Pandya minutes before the latter shot Tulsi Prajapati in a fake encounter on December 28,2006,according to investigators. They added it was Aggarwal,the then Banaskantha SP,who asked Pandya to report on job while he was on leave. CID (Crime) teams are now on the lookout for Pandya.

The investigating team admitted that Aggarwal is not coming clean,while phone call records point out that he did call Pandya to report on duty though he was on leave and spoke to him minutes before the encounter. Investigating Officer,Deputy SP R K Patel said,“Aggarwal is not revealing the truth. We found out that on December 27,Pandya was on leave. Aggarwal had called Pandya in the late night to report on duty. The reasons behind suddenly calling Pandya are yet to be found out from Aggarwal.”

The CID has have sent a team to Mumbai to trace Pandya. ADGP V V Rabari said,“Our teams must have traced his mobile tower and found some clue about his presence in Mumbai.”
